Comfortable, natural-looking replacement teeth for complete confidence
Dentures are removable appliances designed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Modern dentures are more comfortable and natural-looking than ever before, helping patients regain confidence in their smile and the ability to eat and speak normally.
Complete dentures replace all teeth on either the upper or lower arch (or both). They rest on the gums and are held in place by suction and, if needed, denture adhesive.
Complete dentures are fitted after all remaining teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has healed (typically 8–12 weeks).
Partial dentures replace one or more missing teeth when some natural teeth remain. They consist of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored plastic base, connected by a metal framework that holds the denture in place.
Partial dentures also prevent remaining natural teeth from shifting into the gap left by missing teeth.
Getting dentures involves several appointments over a few weeks. Impressions are taken of your mouth, and models of your jaw are used to craft dentures that fit properly and look natural. Adjustments may be needed as you get used to wearing them.
New denture wearers often experience some soreness and increased saliva production, which subsides as you adjust. With time, most patients adapt fully and feel comfortable eating and speaking normally.
